Hand-raised eclectus parrots
Nature's odd couple: males are emerald green with a candy-corn beak, females scarlet and violet. Eclectus parrots are gentle, observant and good talkers, and they thrive on routine and a fresh-food diet. Ours are hand-raised at the aviary.

What they eat
Mostly fresh produce — they need lots of vitamin A from orange and leafy veg, and little fat.
Their home
A large cage with room to climb, natural wood perches and a calm spot in the house.

Gentle and observant. Loves routine, quiet one-on-one time and learning words.
